President Trump Announces Radio Spectrum Deal for Amateurs

President Donald Trump has announced in an off the cuff Rose Garden remark to reporters that his first deal in his 100 days in office allows American Amateur Radio operators to use massive new amounts of spectrum.  Trump said, "The ITU has been very bad, terrible people, because of me, the new ITU president  came to me to make a deal that's great for Americans to avoid tariffs." No other details were released and  FCC chairman Brendan Carr did not respond our request for an interview and further details.

When asked the International Telecommunications Commission President Doreen Bogdan-Martin was very confused and stated, "we only asked the Americans if they would like to open the 60 Meter Amateur Band to more license classes."  She went on to say "He thought that was a foot race and then started talking about transgender athletes. "
